Our Eighth Meeting

Ok, fellow audiophiles in the Las Vegas area and everywhere really (this is the world wide web after all,) the first audio club ever in Sin City, has now completed its eighth meeting!

We had our eighth meeting 1 Saturday ago, (which was 3-22-14)

This time new LVAC member Steve hosted the affair, with his superb 2 channel system that is breathtaking in every way.

As usual, we had a great time listening to a variety of tunes (CD and LP) on Steve's system. We could have listened for hours as the sound was very relaxed and fluid. Great pizza and drinks were served. And once again, it was good times!

Right now, we have over 10 members, and we're looking for a few more good audiophiles in the Vegas area and beyond.

Again, meetings will be once a month. Usually the 3rd or 4th weekend.

So, don't be shy, we'd love to have you for the next meeting, and as of now it's still FREE to join!

Any questions? email us at: dave_a_2005@hotmail.com or motorcitydeadman@gmail.com

Photos of the system are below. Photos were taken by club member Steve.

Here is the system rundown:

Vacuum State Electronics Level 7 modified Sony 5400 SACD player

Rega P25 turntable with Benz Micro cartridge

custom monoblock passive preamps from Promitheus Audio

the latest version of the Herron monoblock power amps

PS Audio Powerplant AC regenerator

LessLoss cables all around (except for Shunyata Aries for the phono preamp) and various tweaker footers and platforms under the gear (including Polycrystal equipment rack and speaker stands), and a bunch of Argent room lenses.

Steve says: "And my one-of-a-kind custom-made speakers. I can only say they were designed by my Maryland friend Murray Zeligman who designs speakers for various Scandinavian speaker driver makers, and who designed the speaker I had before this, the Nova Rendition, which retailed for $20K 15 years ago. I asked him to make the speaker he'd make for himself if cost was no object."
